Quality Policy Statement

SUMI LIFT TRUCKS Pty. Ltd. specialises in the design and manufacture of battery operated electric stackers, forklifts and pallet trucks for Australian and selected overseas markets. The nature of the company's business places particular importance on promoting quality products for its customers.

We at Sumi recognise the need to continuously improve our company's standards to enable us to realise our full potential as a reliable supplier and have made a commitment to quality by introducing a Quality Management System and gaining certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001 : 1994.

Our Quality Manager is nominated as the management representative responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of this Quality Management System. All company employees have a responsibility for quality and are required to conform to the procedures contained in our Quality Manual.

The Quality Manual and Procedures conform to the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001 :1994 and represent the minimum standards adopted by the company. These procedures are structured to ensure that all goods and services offered by Sumi will conform to all contractual and regulatory requirements and that the needs and expectations of our customers are met. This is achieved by strict controls from initial order acceptance, through the progressive production phases to final inspection, testing and despatch.

The Company is committed to the concept of continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations.

We at Sumi recognise the need to train all of our staff and employees performing activities affecting quality. All Sumi personnel receive training in the operation of our Quality Management System and in the procedures available to continuously improve our design, manufacturing operations and services.

This policy is fundamental to the company's goal to remain a credible and reliable supplier of industrial lift trucks and we call on all our personnel to enforce it and offer their active support.
